Campus Guardian Emergency Locator (CEL) Subscription Requirements

In order to subscribe to Campus Guardian's Emergency Locator with Shuttle Tracker service:

  1. You must be a student or employee at the school for which you are subscribing.
  2. You must have a mobile phone with a GPS receiver that is on the list of supported phones. Phones that do not have a GPS receiver are not supported, since it is not possible to get sufficiently accurate location information for those phones.

You will be asked to agree to the following:

  • To maintain a cellular data plan on your phone that allows data to be transmitted to and from your phone. This is not text messaging, but may be referred to as data or multimedia. If you can access the Internet, your phone has a data plan.
  • To acknowledge and accept that data messages sent by Campus Guardian may incur additional charges, depending on your data plan. Messages are sent over the Internet to verify connection to the server and to send data in emergencies.
  • The Campus Guardian Conditions of Service. This is a legal agreement, which you can print and review.
  • The Campus Guardian Privacy Notice, which is provided separately in order to ensure that you clearly understand how your personal information will be handled by Campus Guardian Corporation.
  • Your carrier's Privacy Notice. Each carrier may have a different privacy notice, which we are required to present to you and have you accept before we are permitted to collect data, such as your location, from your phone.
